Sony have issued a statement regarding the recent release of a homebrew application allowing PS3 jailbreak users to fraudulently unlock trophies.
The application allegedly allows the PS3 players who have modified their console to unlock all PS3 Trophies instantly and automatically, using random timestamps.
A Sony spokesman released a statement today ensuring users they are working on resolving the hack:
We are aware of this, and are currently looking into it, we will fix the issues through network updates, but because this is a security issue, we are not able to provide you with any more details.
It's the latest development of PlayStation exploits following the news that the PS3 had been hacked completely, and irreversibly, by George 'Gehotz' Hotz at the beginning of the month.
